![]() I would like to use kernel 2.6.32, instructions for installation: Most of the instructions on this page have been about installation on Jaunty 32bit (MSI Wind with Atom CPU). ![]() The touch-pad is a Sentelic although I have no idea how to verify it without opening the case. I am running the Ubuntu Karmic 64bit on my MSI x340 (SU3500 CPU). Note that each time you update the kernel you will need to go through the compilation and replacement steps again. ![]() Now you should be able to use fspc to configure the touchpad. It should be in /lib/modules//kernel/drivers/input/mouse/. Then replace your current psmouse.ko with this one. This will cause the touchpad to stop working. Unload psmouse with "modprobe -r psmouse". Go to the extracted directory and run make. Also, you'll need to have the kernel headers and gcc installed. fspc is an user interface for controlling the touchpad features once you have the driver working. So, to make it easier for people to get configuration of the Sentelic touchpad working, I've put together a tar.gz with the already patched mouse driver source and a Makefile to compile it as a module and attached it to this message. It should be in /lib/modules/ /kernel/ drivers/ input/mouse/. You'll also need to download static- build-fspc- 20081201. ![]() Not much seems to have happened with this bug and seems to be down. ![]()
